Dr. James Claytor received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of South Carolina. He obtained his medical training at the USC School of Medicine. Thereafter, Dr. Claytor completed his residency at the University of Florida, where he served as Chief Resident. He then served a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, also at UF. In addition to his outpatient work at Midlands Psychiatric, Dr. Claytor also is affiliated with Three Rivers Behavioral Health, Columbia Area Mental Health, and the South Carolina Department of Mental Health Telepsychiatry Program. He is board certified in General Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and is board-eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
